Most of the Philippines is getting generally fair to partly cloudy weather this Black Saturday, according to PAGASA, with no tropical cyclone expected to enter or form within the next two to three days.

The state weather bureau said easterlies are affecting Southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao. Weather specialist Loriedin Dela Cruz-Galicia said many parts of the country are seeing partly cloudy to cloudy skies, but not the kind of setup that points to a widespread rain event.

Sa malaking bahagi ng Luzon, PAGASA said convective activity is being suppressed, which means the chance of prolonged or widespread rainfall stays low for now. That should give many travelers and families a more manageable weather window during the holiday break.

Still, the agency warned that parts of eastern Mindanao could get cloudy skies, scattered rains, thunderstorms, and lightning. So kahit mukhang generally tahimik ang panahon, localized downpours are still very possible in some areas.

For people heading out for church visits, family trips, or return travel, the latest takeaway is simple: mostly okay ang weather sa maraming lugar, but eastern Mindanao should stay alert for sudden rain and thunderstorm activity.
